If you are inquiring about whether or not an animal is available for adoption, please check our Adoptable Animals page; if an animal is viewable, they are available. Please keep in mind that an available animal may have other interested parties. Please apply on the animal’s profile, and we will respond to your application within 72 hours. Thank you!
Intake Policy
At Hero's Heart, our intake policy is open, but limited by capacity and resources. We decide intake on a case-by-case basis, with careful consideration given to each animal. We focus on stray, abandoned, neglected and forgotten animals as first priority, and owner surrenders as secondary. This is due to the medical or emergency urgencies of an animal's needs.
